Seconds

Seconds

Fleeting passing, in a moment’s loss:
Memory’s transiently coming, away
Flashing within imprinted time tables.
Like firefly’s flash in night’s cosmos,
Scattering glitter quickly, how they
Left, imprinted in memoir, flowing
Away – lost forever, in time so brief.
Or the rain droplet, free falling from
Bountiful skies, so bursting into tears
As it kissed welcoming blades of leaf-
lets, celebrating life with welcoming
Embraces, between Heaven and here.
Sequentially pictures, serially flashed
Across, captured right at the instance:
Slowed down and lingered with delay.
All within a second’s time, but lasted
forever in hours, in days, years hence
lost in time’s continued journey away.
For example, when holding her hands;
Or hearing her sweet laugher resounds,
And those times called inconsequent,
Insignificant, but how these enchanted
moments lived! On and on, all around
time’s passing, such timeless moments:
Seeing her hair glowed with sunlight,
Or her whispered words, said so softly;
Timeless, forever replayed in memory.
And those something seconds, despite
Their brief flashes, sent to flying aloft,
To timeless memory, forever they’ll be.
