Oldies But Goody

Oldies But Goody

“Well I think I’m going out of my head… Yes I think I’m going out of my head…over you…over you.”

Simplicity masked in innocent times,
With curiosity explored, so you find
Tender verses sung in deep harmony
In a background of such charmingly
falsetto following octaves, rising high
Along throbbing hearts so silently shy.
Reminiscent of that tangential moment,
Coming along to that exact second when
That first glance, that smile was found.
Now that magical moment came around,
When short melodies be suddenly heard;
In a background of simple loving words.
One must ask: what was the feeling like
When hearing that special song so right,
At exactly when love came drifting along,
Such in that little oldies but goody song.
