How to write Love Poems

Oh geez, have i not a clue as to what:
Inspiration flowing through my veins,
Trying to select the words on this spot;
All without an image or even a name,
Pushing my heart to feel what it’s like:
In the shoes of others, to hold a hand;
But not mine: only emptiness at night
Greeting my prayers, wishful mine can
Be…projection my world into another
Soul: more charms, a wink with shine:
And a loving soul that he’d discovered;
All to call his, and none that will mine.
Alas! How a burning heart shall refuse,
To dream and  hope; yes, even to love.
To love, despite having no-one whose
World I will cherish, and that name of
Her grace, flowing from her silky hair,
Drifted lazily into a twinkle of her eyes:
Imagine that! To love her, if I shall dare;
to dream is all but left, within this why
the words speak aloud! And let me feel!
those hands, whom I’d just typed down,
and love for the first time, let it be real!
In poetic yearnings, my dream is found…
