Heaven Sent

Heaven Sent

Through these eyes melt glistened tears,
Within a realm of darkness so surely near.
Aimless my thoughts, scared, preoccupied
By transparent floating figurines drifted by.
Tomorrow’s uncertainties matched by fear
Of heartaches at night, and silence I’ll hear.
Praying for a sweet smile, just once awhile;
Each night I yearn for love, for me denied…
To touch the hands of a girl I’d held so dear;
Gazing into those loving eyes, ever now clear
To me: So Happy I am with you, standing by
Me, Proud of Me, Touching Me, Telling Why
To kiss your lips is worth the countless years
Of the heartaches I’d wished without, but here
You are, my angel with sparkle in your eyes.
At last, a love for me? Through darkness lies
A promise of goodness for those who adhered
To heavenly ways, with loving heart to appear.
Lovely girl, sent from shining rays sky high;
Down to caress my world, to be along side
The tears of darkness, this life once at nadir;
Lifting me with your love; higher, my dear…
