Tonight

Tonight

Mysteries within the shroud of night:
Through which comes a single light,
Flashing, from a world so far away:
Chasing darkness, like a coming day.
Through time and space, a dream came:
Following a heartbeat, a burning flame.
Seeing your smiles through this mist,
Living a dream I am, something which
Through the years, is finally now here:
To touch your hands, with my caress
Is something I’d yearned for, I confess…
And those silky strands of your hair,
through my fingers, my loving fair-
ness, just reflected within the strands.
And to feel its magic under my hands,
As I gaze into your eyes, how it shines!
And to finally feel, yes, you are mine;
But listen to the beatings of your heart,
Resounds through silence, do depart!

My love is here! How surely so surreal:
To wonder: is this moment truly so real?
Pinch a skin, prick my bones with glass:
Wake me up, are you here at long last?
Out of this mist, you’d surely arrived:
Are you a dream?  Am I really alive?
If not, to wake up tomorrow the same:
But before that, I will call your name…
Darling! before you’ll leave this sight:
I’ll say one thing, just one thing alright,
Before my eyes open, in day so bright:
I’ll love you, in a magic dream tonight.
