A Little Dance Poem

A Little Dance Poem

Take my hand, yours in my own
as the music start, we’ll be alone.
Laughter around, silence is heard:
when the step begins, not a word
is said. my eyes gazed into yours;
a glimpse, an agreement inferred.
let the piano roll begin the journey,
one, two, my foot feels fully free.
saxophone on fire with notes alive,
spring forth with sonic to electrify.
with one beat our body thus moved
in rhythm, a dance for me and you.
swaying across the floor like water
flowing as smooth, in love forever
how my heart skip beats with you
in my arms, your eyes ever imbued
with magic.  let us leap across this
floor, our feet floating on air.  It is
magic to glide like this with ease;
